Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FilmPix Studios collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use StudioIvo.
1. Who we are
StudioIvo is a product developed and operated by FilmPix Studios. When this policy refers to "we", "us" or "our", it means FilmPix Studios. You can contact us at privacy@studioivo.com.
2. What data we collect
Account data
When you register for StudioIvo, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide (such as your studio name and website).
Studio data
Data you enter into StudioIvo as part of running your studio: clients, leads, projects, quotes, contracts, invoices, and gallery files. This data belongs to you.
Usage data
We collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the app to help us improve the service.
Payment data
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and maintain the StudioIvo service
- To process your subscription and send receipts
- To send you important service notifications (e.g. trial expiry, billing)
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve the product based on aggregated usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, hosted on AWS. We use row-level security, encrypted connections (TLS), and restricted access controls to protect your data. Gallery files are stored in encrypted object storage.
No system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and studio data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, financial records).
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are based in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: object to certain types of processing
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@studioivo.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from using the app.
8. Calendar sync
Each studio has a unique, randomly generated calendar token. This token is used to generate a private ICS feed URL that you can subscribe to from Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or any compatible calendar app. The ICS feed URL contains only your shoot dates, invoice due dates, and lead follow-up dates — no personal client data. Keep your calendar link private; anyone with the link can view your schedule.
If you believe your calendar link has been compromised, contact us at support@studioivo.com and we will generate a new token for your studio.
9. Inquiry form
Each studio has a unique, publicly shareable inquiry form. When a prospective client submits the form, we collect the personal data they enter: name, email address, phone number (optional), shoot type (optional), event date (optional), budget (optional), and a free-text message (optional). This data is stored in the studio's account as a client record and a lead.
Studio owners are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from their clients and for handling client data in accordance with applicable data protection law. As a studio owner, you are the data controller for your clients' personal information; FilmPix Studios acts as a data processor on your behalf.
Inquiry form submissions also trigger an email notification to the studio owner. This email is sent via our mail infrastructure and contains the same data the prospective client submitted.
10. Third-party services
StudioIvo uses the following third-party services which may process your data:
- Supabase (database and authentication)
- Stripe (subscription billing)
- ipapi.co (IP-based locale detection during studio setup — no data is stored)
11. Children
StudioIvo is intended for use by adults running photography businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of StudioIvo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact
